Game Analysis

Why is analysis of your games the most effective way for you to improve at chess?

Analyzing your games is the most powerful way to improve at chess. It helps you spot your mistakes, make smarter plans for future games, better understand different phases of the game, and improve your strategy. You can study different parts of the game, see how well your plans worked, and analyze crucial moments. Learning from your mistakes is key to getting better and understanding what you’re good at and where you need to improve.

Is it sufficient to go through a game by myself?

While going through a game by yourself is beneficial, having it analyzed by a more experienced and knowledgeable player adds valuable insights and an expert perspective. An analysis by a titled player will uncover subtleties, mistakes, and opportunities that might be missed during an individual review.

Why is Chess.Kitchen better for analysis of your games than a traditional model of chess coaches?

At Chess.Kitchen, you get some great benefits. First, we make sure the quality of our analysis is top-notch with strict quality checks and our skilled Chess Chefs. Second, you get advice from titled players, like grandmasters, at a much lower cost than traditional coaching. Lastly, you can use our service anytime you want, without worrying about scheduling issues.

Why is Chess.Kitchen better for analysis of your games than engines and computer analysis?

Chess.Kitchen excels over computer analysis by providing human insights that are comprehensible and tailored for human players. Unlike computer-generated analysis, our analysis is designed to be player-friendly and offers recommendations that are tailored to your understanding and improvement.

Game Submission

How do I submit my game for analysis?

To submit your game for analysis, simply fill out our Game Analysis Form. To share the game notation, you can either prepare a PNG file or provide a link to your game on chess.com or lichess.org. Please check this video if you need more instructions on how to prepare a PNG file or save your game on chess.com/lichess.org.

Should I analyze and annotate my game myself before submitting it on Chess.Kitchen?

While we encourage you analyze and annotate your games before submitting them (Chess Chefs will provide feedback on your analysis in addition to their own analysis), it’s not required. You can submit your games without any prior comments or analysis.

Is there a limit to the number of games I can submit for analysis?

There’s no limit – you can send us as many games as you want!

What types of games can I submit for analysis?

Our recommendation for the most effective chess improvement is to submit games played under classic/slow control. However, we welcome submissions of games played under other controls as well!

What will I receive from Chess.Kitchen?

Depending on your preference, we will send you an annotated game in PNG format or upload the game on chess.com/lichess.org. You will also receive personalized recommendations through your preferred channel of communication.

What if I have specific preferences or questions about the analysis of my game?

Your preferences are more than welcome! Please add your comments or questions in the “Preferences” section of the Game Analysis form.
